My Good yeomen, may I wish you, your friends and your families a very happy Christmas!
To the entire world, regardless of faith and religion, (Note 1) may the spirit of Christmas touch you all and combine to bring peace and joy to the world.
To paraphrase the prayer of St. Francis :-
Where there is hatred, let there be love.
Where there is injury, let there be pardon.
Where there is discord, let there be vision.
Where there is doubt, let there be faith.
Where there is despair, let there be hope.
Where there is darkness, let there be light.
Where there is sadness, let there be joy.
Above all, let there be peace.
